Opening times, fees and funding schemes

Correct as of March 2021

Opening times

Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm

The nursery is open 52 weeks of the year, with the exception of Bank holidays, and you will not be charged any fees for Bank holiday days.

Fees and charges

Our fees are calculated in line with our current hourly rates (as shown below) and we will endeavour to be as flexible with your requirements as we can. The minimum period you can book for your child on any one day is 3 hours but this can be extended - subject to availability - if you ever need it to.

0-5 years: £5.50 per hour
Lunch: £2.00 per meal
Tea: £1.15 per meal

Any absences are charged at our full rates.

Late collection charge
Any parent/guardian failing to collect their child by 6pm will incur a late collection charge of £5 per each 15 minutes the child remains at nursery. If no communication is made, and the child remains uncollected, the nursery will adhere to the guidelines of the arrival and departure policy.

Booking deposit

If you wish to reserve a place at the nursery, you will be asked to complete a registration form and to return it with a deposit of £50 for a part time place or £100 for a full time place. The deposit will not be refunded if you cancel the booking prior to your child starting nursery.

The booking deposit can be given to the nursery manager at your introduction meeting. The deposit will be refunded in full providing that all fees are paid prior to or on your child’s last day at the nursery.

Payment of fees

All invoices are issued on the first working day of the month.

Fees can be paid through vouchers or by cash or directly into the nursery’s bank account. We ask that all fees due are cleared by the month end either by one payment or weekly if you prefer.

Late or non payment

Late or non payment of fees by the last session of the month will lead to the termination of your child’s place.

Notice of leaving

The nursery requires one month’s written notice of your child leaving nursery.

The nursery requires one term’s written notice for children claiming the Early Years Entitlement (EYE) funding.

Childcare voucher schemes

Childcare voucher schemes are childcare vouchers which parents receive from their employer.

Usually parents receive vouchers instead of part of their salary. Childcare vouchers are free from tax and national insurance, which saves families up to £2,400 a year.

Government funding EYE

3 and 4 year olds

Government funding of up to 30 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year is available for 3 and 4 year olds.

You will be required to complete additional forms to claim your funding; these will be given to you by the nursery.

The funding is then deducted from your monthly invoice and the balance paid in the normal way.

2 year olds

Some 2 year olds maybe eligible to claim up to 15 hours funding per week for 38 weeks of the year. This is based on specific criteria that we can advise you on, or more information is available on the following website:
